My holiday`s last weekend was quite busy with activities. On Saturday Jenny-Mari and I drove to Puolanka group show with Eddie and Aurora. There we met Marjo, Hilja and Laura with Anna and Julius. This show went nicely for all of us and it ended our summer shows. First of all Julius won the males and Eddie was second and got CC. Congratulations to Hilja for Julius` BOS and thank you both, Hilja and Laura, for your support to us in the group ring. Next were ladies and first was Anna. Anna got excellent but she wouldn`t move happily in the ring and came 2nd in working class. Aurora was in champion class all alone, got excellent and ended best bitch. Anna came 3rd best bitch and got resCC. Congratulations to Marjo, you did very well with your beautifull Anna. Our Aurora was BOB and she won group 8 and ended BIS2. Nice finishing for the summer shows 2010! :) Thank you Jensku for your great company during this weekend, both in show and in agility competition for photographing and congrats for Eddies success. On Sunday we were at agility competitions in Oulu. It was Aurora`s second race in agility and she did it well. In the first start we got 10 fall points (because of my falts) and Aurora was 5th. Next was jumping track and that went nicely. We did a 0-track and time went -7.63 under the ideal time and we got our first LUVA! Pihla started in maxi2 and she went fine in jumping race. She is so precise girl and it was 0-track and time was -0.09 under the ideal time. It was so nice competition for both of our girls. Then results from Pyhäntä our Spaniel`s club championship tracking competition . There was our talent coupöe Liisa and Elli and what a results!! Elli, Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper got 2nd prize in winner class and it was enought to get the champion title in 2010 in tracking!!:)) Huge congrats to Liisa and Elli for your great work together again. Perhaps we will meet in tracking competition during this autumn.

We got excellent news from Liisa and Elli, Baskethill´s Jolly Jumper. This busy couple took part in a tracking competition in Rovaniemi. And result was remarkable again. Elli took first prize with a very good points 46/50 in winner class. Two more to her credit and she will be also Finnish tracking champion. Liisa and Elli have been training very well in a very seacret place, it was really worth it! Thank you Liisa for your great work with your Elli. |

Two different Int.Dog shows, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. The weather was quite hot on both days but on Sunday we got a nice mild wind too. My busy friends Kirsi and Jenni-Mari set up our tent Friday evening, so it was ready for settling down on Saturday morning. On Saturday Iiro got VG 3 and on Sunday he got EXC in champion class. Our girls then: Anna got EXC both days, on Saturday she was 2nd and on Sunday she won her working class and ended 4th in best bitch and got her first CC!!!:D Lara, Baskethill`s Jersey Lily, was show only Saturday and she got excellent in champion class. Our veteran Saimi had a nice weekend with good results. On Saturday she was 4th and on Sunday 3rd best bitch and she was BOB-veteran both days. Our little smiling Aurora was best of all our girls. She was BOS on Saturday and 2nd best bitch after beautiful Sophie on Sunday! Congrats to Tarja! Thank you Kirsi and Jenni-Mari for helping me again with the girls and big hugs to both of you for really nice results with your boys Jeffe and Eddie. Lastly big congrats to Emilie for your great trip to Oulu! :)

Dog show in Rovaniemi. And first from weather, it was same as usual in these days, rainy and windy again. Luckely I got a place in Nina`s tent with Saimi and Aurora. In that show were also Iiro with Laura and Kaapo with Hanna. Hanna was working in the show, so I showed Kaapo in the ring. He appeared first of our team and Kaapo got VG2. Next one was Iiro in champion class and result was 4th with excellent. Our ladies took part in champion class and veterans. Aurora was 2nd after her half sister Lady, Adamant`s Take This Dance and Lady was BOB also. Congatulations to Anette and co with your great show weekend altogether. Last was veteran class and our Saimi won it and second was Anette`s Tessu. Saimi was BOB-veteran and later on she was BIS3 veteran, our sweet Saimi! I heard great news from Katya. Saima has got a new title Lt Ch, she is now Rus & Lt Ch, JRus Ch, RKF Ch Baskethill`s Jewel To You. Huge congratulations to you Katya, you have done more with Saima than we could have never hoped for!:)) A big thanks for that and we hope that you have bright future with Saima`s puppies.

Lastly the weather of show day was just perfect. The sun was shining and mild wind blowing around the show area. In the morning I helped to assemble the ring thinks and also set up my tent . We came to show place with Jenni-Mari about 11 am and settled down. It was so nice to sit and chat with the others in our tent and look at beautiful dogs before our own turn. Jenni-Mari`s Eddie won his class and was second best male with CC. Iiro was 3rd best male and perhaps the quite warm weather took the best out of Iiro`s performance. Next were girls with Saimi. Anna was 3rd with excellent in open class and Elli won her working class. Aurora and Lara took part in champion class and Aurora won it. Saimi, Baskethill`s Highlanblossom was first in veteran class and was also BOB-veteran and ended up BIS2 veteran! :)) The best bitch class was a quite big but Aurora was 1st and Elli was 4th. Our breeders group was first too and a little bit later this group was BIS2 judgede by Inese Pablaka. The day was memorable, short rote to show place, results were good and the best of all was the nice weather!:) We met also Pihla`s sister Peppi, Baskethill`s Izzy Kidding. She took part in working class and was 4th. It was so nice to see Marjo and Peppi. After the ring Aurora served a raspberry cake, coffee and juice for her champion title. Congratulations again to Janika and Marjaana for BOB and Jenni-Mari and Kirsi for Eddie`s 2nd CC. It was a really nice day! :D

The drive to Karkku went very quickly chating together. Our results were very nice too. Eddie won the big junior class and ended up BOS-junior. Jeffe was 3rd best male, so congratulations to Jenni-Mari and Kirsi fo your great results. There was a huge entry of 47 bitches in Karkku and our Aurora took part in champion class. She was 3rd after Diva and Sophie and ended up among six best bitch. Congratulations to Diva`s owners Nappi and Nana and also her breeders Sanna & Sami.

Elli, Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper got her last first prize in tracking career from open class and she recived it very nicely. It was a great work from this couple, Liisa and Elli. On show ground we got a new champion in Haukipudas group show. Lara, Baskethill`s Jersey Lily, got her 4th CC and she is Finnish champion now. Our J-pups are 26 months and 5 of them have recieved their champion titles. First one congratulations to Sanna and your beautiful Lara and thanks to all J-pups owner, without you this wouldn`t be possible at all. The other J-bitch in working class was Anna, Baskethill`s Jet Set Beauty and she got her 2nd resCC and was 3rd best bitch. Congratulations to Marjo, perhaps in the next show Anna will get CC, I hope so! There were boys too, Kaapo, Julius and Iiro. The older boy Iiro got excellent and was 3rd best dog, well done Laura. And lastly I send thanks to everyone who helped to show our group in Haukipudas! :D While the others were at Haukipudas and Pyhäntä I was in Joensuu with Aurora, and of course we visited in Kuopio at Tuija`s and Risto`s place overnight. It was so nice to see you all again. How we managed at these two shows? On Saturday Aurora was 4th best bitch and on Sunday she was old fashion 5th best bitch. The weather was just like last summer in Joensuu, raining and quite windy! I helped Tarja with her group and it was BIS 1 on Saturday. Beautifull Sophie took it all, she was BIS1 on both days and so she was also SuperBIS!! Huge congratulations to Tarja and perhaps we remember that in the middle of july! :D On Sunday our happy ladies Saimi and Saga had their 8th birthday party. Congratulations to all our H-puppies and enjoy the summer weather............. Results these shows and tracking you saw lower:

What a weekend we had in the agility races! On Saturday I took part in agility competion with Pihla and we had two starts. It was a quite hot weather but Pihla was a very good but a little slow. Both A and B-races went overtime and we were 4th in both starts. On Sunday it was a little cooler weather and Pihla surprised me. But first jumping race C was our Aurora`s first agility competition. As you know she is so quick girl and so was her the begining of her race. Two first jumps and then tube and that was Aurora`s favorit thing. She went to tube about three times and enjoyed with all her heart. I think the audience liked it very much and we had fun too, both of us!:) Next was Pihla`s Maxi 2 C-and D-competitions. She did unblievebly good races and got two LUVA and only one is cebareting us from class Maxi 3. I have never dreamed about these kind of results in our agility career. The times were just a little bit under the ideal time but it didn`t bother me! The day was remarkable for me and our girls Pihla and also Aurora, the beginner! |

We have an extremely nice weekend behind us.Two shows on Saturday and agility competition. On Sunday I took part in an agility competition with our sweet Pihla, Baskethill`s Irish Blossom. It was our first start in maxi 2 class and we managed it well. First C-race was 0 fall point - 1.33 under the ideal time, we took 5th place. Second start was D-race and we got 5 fall points and time went 1 second under the ideal time too, we got 3rd place. We had a really nice time even the weather was awfull with cold wind blowing and raining! Results warmed us and it was a very nice start in the higher classes!:D On Saturday we had a two Group Show; in Kruunupyy and Kuusamo. We divided up to two diffrent teams. In Kruunupyy were Julius and Lara with Sanna, Hilja and Laura. The day was perfect to all of us especiallyto Julius and we got our 4th J-pups champion. In Kruunupyy Julius, Baskethill`s Jimmy-The One was BOB and took his last CC and got Fi Ch title. Congratulations to Julius`owner Hilja for your great work with Julius. BOS was Lara, Baskethill`s Jersey Lily and as you know only one is missing Sanna!:) Congratulations also to Sanna. In Kuusamo our team consisted of Saimi, Aurora, Elli, Anna and Kaapo with Liisa, Api, Marjo and Hanna with her sister Maiju. Kaapo, Baskethill`s Jin Jack Flash took it all. He was BOB and got his second CC and his Fi Ch title is a little bit closer too. Our J-pups mother Saimi was 3rd best bitch and Aurora was 4th. Elli, Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper was 3rd in champion class and in working class with Aurora was Anna 3rd too. Our breeders group consisted of Saimi, Anna, Elli and Aurora and it took 3rd place in BIS competition. Thank you all for staying to the finals and thanks to Hanna and Nina for helping me to show our Saimi.

It was on the middle of our way to Lahti Int.Dog Show. I had only Aurora with me just as it has been in these days. In Lahti we met Nina and Iida in the hotell Seurahuone. We left our car in a marketplace as we had been told in hotell. Suprise suprise we got a parking ticket!:( In Pyhäsalmi Aurora was 1st from 3 champion lady and ended BOB! In group 8 she was 3rd and judge was Lena Danker. I`m very proud of her and these results. Then we continued to Lahti as I told earlier. In Lahti Aurora was 3rd in champion class after Sophie and Pamela. Sophie was BOB again and finally was Group 1. Congratulations to Tarja for your great day! The best bitch class was huge and Aurora was among 7 best bitches. Tuija`s Sawanne was second best bitch, hugs to Tuija for this wonderful result. Kirsi and Jenni-Mari picked up me and Aurora with very earlier 3.30 am on Sunday morning. The ride to show place went quickly inspite of the long drive as well as the way back home. We were at show place nicely in time and we had time to settled down. I had two J-girls with us: Lara and Aurora. They both did it well, Lara won the working class with exellent and got resCC too. Aurora chanced her class from open to champion and was second after beautiful Sophie. The best bitch class was quite huge with beautiful bitches. At the thrilling end Aurora was 4th best bitch.:)) Kirsi`s and Jenni-Mari`s boys were 2nd and 3rd in best dog class. Time flew very fast and we started our drive home with chating. Thank you Sanna for lending Lara to us and thanks to Kirsi for handling Lara. Thanks to Jenni-Mari and Kirsi for your nice company. At last huge congrats to Tarja and Antti for really good results. On Saturday there was a group show in Laitila and Pablo`s son Lo`cust Born To Rock "Cairo" was BOB and got his first CC. Congratulations to Tuija and Markku as a breeders and naturally Cairo`s owners.

In the middle of last week we got Lara`s, Baskethill`s Jersey Lily, hip results. Her hips were A-A same as her 6 other siblings. So it`s time to take a look at our Saimi`s progeny. She has 15 pyppies out of two males, With Touch Holy Moses and Rindi`s Pablo Picasso. 13 puppies have had their hips x-rayed and results: 1 x B-B, 12 x A-A and at the moment they all have clear eyes. Now Saimi has 5 show champions and 1 tr Ch and what more will they get :)....Thank you all our puppy-owners for these results! On Saturday Elli, Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper, and Anna, Baskethill`s Jet Set Beauty, took part in group show at Pyhäselkä and judge was Bo Skalin. And what result for Elli! She came second in best bitch class and got her last CC. Elli is 3rd champion of our J-puppies. Huge congratulations to Liisa and Api for your great work with your little pearl. The day wasn`t so perfect for Anna, she got VG2 after Elli. On Sunday me and Aurora drow with Hanna and her Pharaoh Hounds Tyyne and Skumppan to Korpilahti near by Jyväskylä. Quite a long way to go but the time went quickly as usual by chatting about the dogs. It was a very big group show, almost 600 dogs. So there was judge changes because of huge entry. Our Aurora was in a quite lively mood and it was hard to keep her moving well. It seemed that the 3-hour agility trainin on Saturday didn`t have any effect on her. first our judge chose her as the best bitch and afterwards as the best of breed. And finally Aurora was 4th in big group 7/8 and she didn`t run at all, just jumped all the time:) too much activity for this little girl in one weekend. Congratulations to Tarja for Doris` CC and Ricky`s BOS and also congrats to Heli, Ricky`s owner.

It was the first show after her second birthday party on Wednesday. Tuija and Sari came from Kuopio to Polvijärvi and after the show Aurora and I went to Tuija`s and Risto`s place. The day was very exiting for both of us, Tuija and I :). Tuija´s beautiful Sawanne was in a very good conditions and so she was the best bitch and BOB, Group1 and in the end of show BIS2!! I think I haven`t ever seen Sawanne in such a good show conditions. Congratulations Tuija for your great wins in Polvijärvi. Our sweet Aurora was second best bitch and she got her last CC and she is a Finnish Champion now! In the evening we enjoyed of a very good dinner, sparkling wine, champion cake and nice chatting. Next day, on Sunday, we had a long walk and took some nice photos of Sawanne and Aurora. I think we got one of the best pics from these girls. Thank you again Tuija, Risto, Juha-Pekka and Tom for your lovely company.

On Saturday we took part in an agility competition in Oulu. We had two starts, A was basic and B was jumping track.On A-track we got 5-fault points and B-track was 0-fault points and time run 3.03 under the ideal time. In the A-track we came 5th and B-track we was 2nd with LUVA and agility CC. Now it`s tru that our next start with Pihla, Baskethill`s Irish Blossom, will be in MAXI-2!!

We got a very nice news from Katya. Saima has got her first puppies, 4 males and 6 bitches. All of puppies are liver/white and sir of puppies is Sieger`s Pool Position. So our Saimi, Baskethill`s Highlandblossom, is grandmother now and it`s most enjoyable role for Saimi :). Congratulations to Katya for her first breeding litter and we hope you will enjoy from these puppies. Aurora sends licks to Saima!

On Saturday our Aurora got award, the best show dog of the year 2009 in Spaniel Club of Northern Finland. I`m so proud of her first show career year as well as of all our J-pups too. Also our Pihla, Baskethill`s Irish Blossom, was 3rd best English Springer Spaniel in agility-competition in The Springerspaniel Group of Finland. First and second price went to Vellu and Lenni so in fact Pihla was the best bitch :)). Congratulations to talented boys and owners Hanna and Jenni-Mari!

EXC1,BB1,CC,BOB,BIG1,BIS1 Baskethill`s Jubilee Blossom EXC1,BD1,CC,BOS Hightide`s You`re The Top On Saturday I drove with Jenni-Mari to Laihia group show. We had Eddie and Aurora with us, our youngsters. The weather was awful with a real blizzard. We started our journey very early 4.00 am and so both of us got a very short night`s sleep. After all we came just in time to the show place. First was Eddie`s class and only one male got excellent and he was Hightide`s You`re The Top. Congratulations to Outi and breeder Mervi for Valtsu`s CC. Next from our team was Aurora and she did it very well. She was the only bitch who got excellent and ended to BOB. She got her 10th CC and it was last one before her 2nd birthday.We had a quite long waiting time before the groups competition so we went to a pizza place. Times run with chatting and laughing, perhaps we were a little bit too tired :). At last the groups begun and Aurora competed very well. She wan the group 8 and in the end she became BIS1. This time she behaved so nicely and she ran with all her four legs, not jumpig as usual. The day was memorable for us and thank you all for your congrats for Aurora`s show result. Thank you Jenni-Mari for your nice company during this " little show trip " :D
Waiting for groups final there was a little bit time to play with Eddie. He is Aurora`s good friend :D

Elli`s, Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper, hip results was A-A after confermed! Elli was 5th of Saimi`s J-pups whose got A-A hips. Time flies fast.......Our first Baskethill`s puppies were born 20.1.1985 so we celebrate our 25-years jubilee as breeders. It means we have had 10 litters (56 puppies), 3 International Champions, 14 Finnish Champions, 2 Fin Tr Champions and many diffrent intrests in many kind of hobbies by our busy puppy owners. We spent our jubilee weekend enjoying a long walk in the nearest fields, forests and ponds. Pictures of that field trip are on the frontpage and there is one photo of each of our girls! In the photos above you see some important influences to our breeding program from the beginning to future hope, Aurora. There are also all our home-bred Internatinal champions: Omppu (Int&Fin Ch Baskethill`s Appleblossom), Chessan (Int&Fin Ch,Fin Tr Ch Baskethill`s Cherry Blossom and Saimi ( Int&Fin&Est Ch Baskethill`s Highlandblossom).These years as breeders have been very rewarding with good and not so good days altogether. So we continue our way of life with our dogs in many diffrent hobbies:)........it`s fun! |

Another successful and great year behind us. As always we travelled a lot in diffrent shows, fields and started also our agility career with Pihla. We showed our breeders group 9 times and it was 7 x BOB, 1 x BIS3 and also BIS1-group in Kiiminki.
