What  happened at Baskethill`s  this year? First of all there is our Saimi aka Fin Ch Baskethill`s Highlandblossom.   The new year 2005 started with success in Kajaani INT Show. Saimi was BOB  and Group 3. She was showed only in the spring and few times later in the  autumn. Her last show before the " maternity leave " was the big speciality  show in Karkku -  she got excellent and was 4th best bitch. In the middle of  the year she had her first litter with Moses aka Fin Ch,Fin JW-04 With Touch  Holy Moses. So, we wish all the best in the future to Inka, Peppi, Penni, Iiro  and Joonas with they owners. These puppies we are hoping to see in showrings  in future. Saimi`s first start after her puppies was a tracking competition in  September and she did a good job. She got 3rd prize (28 points) in her first  start in winner class. Saimi was also (inspite of that she was almost 6 month  asides from shows)  TOP ESS number 5!!!!! Saimi`s results in this year: 4 x BOB, 2 x Group 2,2 x Group 3, 2 x BB3, 1 x BB4, 1 x BB5, tracking: 3rd  prize in winner class Then comes our Swedish boy Pablo aka Rindi`s Pablo Picasso. His first show in  official class was in Evijärvi 23.4.05 and he started his show career with style. He got his first CC and was BOS. He did very well all year through and got 4 CC. Especially his latest INT Shows at Jyväskylä and Helsinki went very well. He  also passed his field trial test in summer.  Pablo`s results in this year: 4 x CC, 2 x BOS, 1 x BD3, 3 x BD4 The other results from 2005........ Fin Ch Baskethill`s Golden Blossom " Klaara " was showed very seldom.  She got one BOB and Group 4 and was BB3 at Kajaani`s INT Show. Baskethill`s Hot House Henna was 1 x BB3 and 2 x BB4. She don`t like shows at all, she enjoys to beeing at home and playing with Pihla`s toys. This year was a very rewarding year again. We have puppies, we were at shows, we were at tracking competitions and I was judging in three field trial tests.  In the end I can say that this year was really nice and I wish a very successful year 2006 to all my friends.

On Saturday  it was Finnish Winner-05 and on Sunday Nordic Winner-05 Dog Show. We had Saimi and Pablo with us. Baskethill`s Highlandblossom got EXC on both days and was 4th in champion class on Sunday. Rindi`s Pablo Picasso was victirious  the intermediate class on both days and he was 4th best dog with CC on Sunday. The weekend was really nice and it was good to see the other  breeders too. We had a nice last weekend at Tuija`s and Risto`s place at Kuopio. There was 
a lovely weather, a  good food and a great company. It was Pihla`s  first visit to 
Uppgate`s place . It was really " hight-place-camp" to Pihla with two
small boys whose running around the house. We took a few pics from our girls.

The day went so quickly but as I say, it was very pleased to see so many friends there.  How did our dogs do? Baskethill`s Highlandblossom was  placed 3rd in champion class with EXC and Rindi`s Pablo Picasso   got VG4 in juniosclass.

Today ( 11.10.05 ) our D-puppies reached the age of 14.  warm congratulations to Oona ( Baskethill`s Divine Duchess ) and Nero ( Baskethill`s Double Diamand ).  What an achievement for the dogs and for the owners  who have cared for them so much. A big hug to owners Tuija and  Johanna, I hope you will still have great moments with them.

Today we were at Pyhäntä in tracking competition. Baskethill`s Highlandblossom
left her maternity leave behind and took part of tracking competitition in winning
class in a very first time.She did it well and got third price with 28 points. She
continue her tracking career in the next spring.

Last weekend we spent a very nice day at Saloinen. 
We had Pablo, Kaisla, Saga and Klaara  with us. It wasn`t

We spent our Sunday at Karkku in very cold weather. It was 
nice to see  the other breeders again and see the beautifull 
dogs. We had three dogs with us. Rindi`s Pablo Picasso 
" Pablo " competed  in junior class and he got VG4, his 
brother Micke took EXC1 and ended up BD 4 with resCC!! 
Congratulations to Micke`s owners. Then we had two ladys
with us. Our Fin Ch Baskethill`s Golden Blossom " Klaara " 
competed in champion class and she took the forth place 
with EXC.  And last but certainly not least was our 
Fin Ch Baskethill`s Highlandblossom " Saimi ". She won 
the working class and was runner up in best bitch competition. 
Now  Saimi retires to maternity duties. But despite that cold 
weather I wish very warm congratulations to Tarja and 
all successful Adamant`s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we went to see a vet with Saimi and definitely she is expecting puppies!!!

Saimi`s critique: " Good bitch of nice type. Good scope. Stands  balanced with good depth of body. Good bone. Head statisfactroy with pleasing expression. Very appealing & outgoing type."

We entered our dogs to Paavo Mattila but he got so many entries that ess went to Annaliisa  Heikkinen. She liked Saimi again and put her BOB today.Paavo Mattila  did group 8  and he placed Saimi second.  Saga ( Baskethill`s Hot House Henna) got Exc4 in open class. Young man did very well again and became BOS.

We were at Oulu in last weekend. Unfortunately we didn`t took any photos 
because the weather was so windy and cold. But our young Pablo enjoyed
being in the ring and he really  behaved well.

Yesterday we were at Evijärvi and I`m very proud of our young boy. On Wednesday 
he reached 9 months age and Saturday he won his first CC. Our Saga (B.Hot House Henna) 
took the third place at best bitch competition just after her sister and halfsister Ninja who 
took her first CC. Congratulations to Karoliina and Ninja!!!

So, today we opened our showyear 2005 in the traditional Kajaani Dog Show.
This time it was an Int Dog Show.The day was Saimi`s day  and a little bit
Klaara`s too and a lucky day for the " newlyweds ". ( won both Bob and Bos)
